Former Quebec premier Landry reaffirms support for Bloc's Ouellet
Bernard Landry, a former Parti Québécois leader and ex-premier of Quebec, is reiterating his support for Bloc Québécois leader Martine Ouellet. And even though Landry left the PQ after receiving a confidence vote of only 76 per cent, he said he feels she should stay on even if with a vote of 50 per cent plus one.
Landry also praised Ouellet’s ability to explain the virtues of Quebec independence.

CAQ MNA André Spénard won't seek re-election
QUEBEC — Following on the heels of Liberal and Parti Québécois MNAs who have decided not to seek re-election in October, a first Coalition Avenir Québec MNA has chosen to do the same.
Beauce-Nord MNA André Spénard announced on Twitter on Wednesday he will not be running.
He did not specify his reasons, saying his decision is “strictly personal.”
Born in Thetford Mines, Spénard turned 68 a few weeks ago.

Dans la rue, the charitable organization that comes to the aid of homeless youth, is launching its spring funding campaign Wednesday as it celebrates its 30th anniversary.

The 30th edition of the newly renamed Les Francos de Montréal (formerly Les FrancoFolies de Montréal) will feature an eclectic lineup of French-language artists from around the globe, including Claude Dubois, Pierre Lapointe, Arthur H, Roch Voisine and Florent Vollant. Mayors united in push for urban boulevard
