Here’s a look at this weekend’s road closures in Montreal. All closures are according to Quebec’s transportation ministry and are subject to change.
Closures related to Turcot Interchange construction
Highway 20 eastbound will be completely closed between Exit 64 (St-Jacques St.) and the entrance to Angrignon Blvd., from midnight on Friday to 5 a.m. Monday. Transport Québec will use Notre Dame St. as a detour.

One of the largest growers of pink tomatoes in North America is converting its greenhouses in a Montreal suburb to grow upwards of 60,000 kilograms of cannabis each year.
The family-owned Les Serres Bertrand in Mirabel has partnered with Canada’s largest medical marijuana company to complete the transformation.

Proposed deal for REM would kill some existing transit services
The Réseau express métropolitain (REM), the Montreal-area electric commuter train project overseen by the Caisse de dépôt, intends to obtain exclusive rights to serve certain sectors of its planned route that would eliminate some existing transit services and re-direct their clientele to its stations.
And among the existing transit services that could be eliminated are those travelling across the Champlain Bridge and linking Montreal-Trudeau airport with downtown.

Longueuil police bust drug, fraud and counterfeiting ring
Three male suspects ages 20 to 21 were expected to face counterfeiting charges in a Longueuil courtroom Thursday after being arrested Wednesday in a series of raids aimed at shutting down a drug trafficking, counterfeiting and fraud ring on Montreal’s South Shore.
The raids, which began early Wednesday morning in Greenfield Park and ended in the evening in the municipality of Sainte-Catherine, followed a two-month investigation sparked by tips police had received from the public.

Montreal police are seeking other possible victims of an alleged pimp they arrested last March 15.
Jeffrey Whyte St-Fleur was taken into custody in connection with the sexual exploitation of two underage girls and was arraigned last Friday on a dozen charges stemming from the investigation. He is alleged to have recruited his victims via social media.
