Marc Richardson: Maybe it's time to cut Montreal police some slack
For years, decades, really, we’ve grown accustomed to a climate of pervasive animosity between citizens and the Montreal police force. A few months ago, I was standing at the corner of Aylmer and Ste-Catherine Sts. and crossed on a red light, albeit after making sure there was no oncoming traffic. As I walked in front of the Bay, a police officer interrupted me to inform me that I had jaywalked and was getting a ticket.
I’ll admit that I was annoyed — “but there were -

Would the Canadiens be better off tanking the rest of the way?
As the golf season rapidly approaches for our hapless Montreal Canadiens, one question comes to mind: To tank or not to tank?
The idea of losing on purpose is foreign to most professional athletes, but in recent years franchises have been known to purposefully weaken their rosters in the hopes of improving through the draft. The NBA’s Philadelphia 76ers and NFL’s Cleveland Browns are two prime examples of this.

TORONTO — Charlie Lindgren said he was tired after the Canadiens dropped a 4-0 decision to the Toronto Maple Leafs on Saturday and that was understandable.
