American forward Hilary Knight has joined Montreal’s Les Canadiennes ahead of the 2018 Canadian Women’s Hockey League playoffs.

The Montreal police are asking people to avoid downtown Montreal Thursday evening as a gas leak has forced the partial closure of several streets.
According to the Montreal fire department, a gas leak was reported around 3 p.m. at the corner of Ste-Catherine St. W. and McGill College Ave. The department could not immediately be reached for comment on what caused the leak.

Backbone Hosting Solutions Inc., a cryptocurrency mining company, said it plans to invest $250 million in computing centres in Sherbrooke.

Pedestrian dies after being struck by truck in St-Isidore
A 60-year-old pedestrian died early Thursday after he was struck by a pickup truck on Highway 207 near St-Isidore.
The driver of the truck alerted authorities about the incident at about 4:20 a.m. The victim was later declared dead in hospital.

Police seek suspect in series of sexual and aggravated assaults
Investigators with the Montreal police sexual exploitation squad are turning to the public for help in tracking down Yves Randy Hyppolite, who is wanted on several warrants in connection with a series of sexual and aggravated assaults.
