Police investigators arrested three suspects on Wednesday in connection with a series of break-ins in Dollard-des-Ormeaux.
Robberies were reported at two homes on Jan. 29. Investigators quickly made the link to a suspect related to similar crimes in 2017, all carried out in the same way.

It is clear that there are numerous Indigenous realities in Quebec, rather than a single perspective. Many communities are dynamic and prosperous, but we rarely hear about these success stories. The social problems that plague certain communities have attracted a great deal of public attention.
Of course, the theme of reconciliation with Indigenous communities has acquired much greater prominence in the media.
That the reconciliation process is underway is undeniable, given many recent agreement -

With the jury now sequestered at the Joliette courthouse in the trial of construction magnate Antonio Accurso, a door is about to close on Quebec’s anti-corruption squad’s first high-profile case.
When arrest warrants were issued for Accurso and then-Mascouche mayor Richard Marcotte — along with more than a dozen other people in April 2012 — Project Gravier made the front pages of newspapers across the province.

Martha Wainwright kicks off music series in Pierrefonds-Roxboro
Martha Wainwright comes to the Pierrefonds Cultural Centre to perform songs from her album Goodnight City, Friday (Feb. 9).
Wainwright, who grew up in Montreal, comes from a family which is considered music royalty by many. Her mom and dad are Kate McGarrigle and Loudon Wainwright III. Her aunt is Anna McGarrigle and her brother is Rufus Wainwright.
Wainwright has been touring the album, but the Pierrefonds evening will be the first time she performs Goodnight City in Montreal.

Less than two weeks after Elton John revealed plans to retire from the road after a final tour, Paul Simon has also announced a farewell tour, including a show at Montreal’s Bell Centre on Wednesday, June 13.

Little sympathy for Quebec celebs accused of misconduct, poll shows
Overall, a little more than one third of respondents in an online poll conducted by SOM for Cogeco News believe Quebec celebrities suspected of misconduct should return to the public domain.
