Man in stable condition after being shot on Côte-des-Neiges Rd.
A man who was shot inside an apartment garage on Côte-des-Neiges Rd., near Decelles Ave., on Saturday had his condition upgraded from critical to stable Sunday afternoon.
The shooting, signalled to police by a 911 caller, occurred just before 4 p.m. Saturday, Montreal police Const. Jean-Pierre Brabant said.
The 38-year-old was hit at least once in the upper body, Brabant said. The man is known to police, he added.

A woman of about 40 and a five-year-old child were reported in critical condition after being hit by a car at about 11:30 a.m. Sunday as they were walking in the parking lot of a shopping centre at Côte-Vertu Blvd. and Montpellier St. in St-Laurent.
The driver, a man of about 80, was not injured.
The woman and child were taken to a hospital by ambulance after witnesses called 911.
Montreal police cordoned off the area to investigate the circumstances of the accident. -

“Talking about suicide saves lives” is the theme of Suicide Prevention Week in Quebec, which begins Sunday.

PQ leader Lisée to attend nomination meeting in Chambly Sunday
Christian Picard, currently chief of staff to the borough mayor of Lachine, will become the Parti Québécois’s official candidate in Chambly riding on Sunday.

Slow down on snowy, slushy highways
Provincial police are warning drivers to slow down, with freshly fallen snow causing slippery conditions Sunday morning.
“Driving conditions are difficult,” said Sergeant Claude Denis of the Sûreté du Québec.

Man shot on Côte-des-Neiges Rd., near Decelles Ave.
A man remained in critical condition in hospital on Saturday evening after being shot inside an apartment garage on Côte-des-Neiges Rd., near Decelles Ave.
The shooting, signalled to the police by a 911 caller, occurred just before 4 p.m. on Saturday, Montreal police spokesperson Constable Jean-Pierre Brabant said.
The man, who is 38, was hit at least once in the upper body, Brabant said.
