Man stabbed in Hochelaga-Maisonneuve
A 34-year-old man was stabbed in Hochelaga-Maisonneuve Monday afternoon.
Around 3 p.m., Montreal police received a 911 call about an incident on Adam St., near de la Salle Ave.
According to early information gathered by investigators, witnesses said a conflict erupted between the victim and two suspects. The man suffered a “major injury” to his forearm after being stabbed, police said.

Fourth-quarter real-estate sales up 9% in Montreal
The number of residential real-estate sales in the Montreal region during the fourth quarter was up nine per cent when compared with the equivalent period in 2016, according to the Quebec Federation of Real Estate Boards.

Track problems cause RTM commuter train delays Monday morning
What Montreal’s regional transit authority described Monday morning as a “(track) switching problem” at the Lucien L’Allier station caused delays on the Saint-Jérôme, Candiac and Vaudreuil-Hudson lines.
The Réseau de transport métropolitain announced at 8:20 a.m. that because of the problem, no trains could access the station, creating a traffic jam for the three commuter lines in the middle of morning rush hour.
