Josh Freed: Just you wait — technology might be the end of the line
Most of you probably lost some time last week — waiting in line.
Maybe you were in a Boxing Day lineup that circled the block, despite minus 30C degree temperatures. Or in a Queu-bec supermarket queue, or Starbucks latte line.
Maybe you were stuck in traffic — in a different kind of line, we call a lane.
These little waits are aggravating, but they’re way worse when you know how much time we spend in them. According to queue experts, the average commuter wastes one to two -

Former Canadiens general manager André Savard once offered an interesting insight into the negotiating process.
“When you want to sign a player, you sometimes have to give him one more year than you want to,” said Savard. “You know that extra year may not work out, but that’s what it takes to get a deal done.”
