Snowmobiler dies after hitting tree in Gaspé
A snowmobiler from Gaspé died early Friday morning after losing control of his vehicle in a curve and striking a tree.
The accident happened on Chemin du Père-Watier, in Gaspé, around 2 a.m.

Quebec’s Bureau des enquêtes indépendantes (BEI) is investigating after police officers fatally shot a 22-year-old man in Umiujaq, Nunavik.
According to the BEI, police officers went to the man’s house to arrest him, but he refused to follow them to a nearby police station.
One officer stayed at the man’s house while another left to get a warrant for his arrest.
