Arthur Kaptainis: We have entered the post-James Levine era
The name “Levine” and the word “rumours” last appeared in the Montreal Gazette in the same paragraph in 2004, when I noted in a column mostly about James Levine’s health problems that “the most visible maestro of the Americas” had been “the subject of unrelenting rumours throughout his career.”

This year, though, the Red Ribbon campaign takes on a greater resonance.

We must meet now to discuss pot revenue sharing, Montreal mayor tells Quebec
Montreal Mayor Valérie Plante says the recent agreement between Ottawa and Quebec on revenue sharing from the sale of legal marijuana now makes it “imperative” the province meet with the city as quickly as possible to establish how much of those funds will go to municipalities.
