Two passengers, who are also 17, suffered minor injuries. The driver was transferred to the Montreal General Hospit

Stu Cowan: Stage is set for the return of Canadiens' Carey Price
After Canadiens goalie Carey Price signed his eight-year, US$84-million contract extension during the summer, he said: “I’ve never thought about playing anywhere else. It’s a great place to be and I have enough experience to deal with anything that being a goaltender with the Canadiens can throw at you. I never really thought about putting on another uniform, I just thought it would be too weird.”

You're welcome, world: Alexander Skarsgard says Quebec saved his life
Alexander Skarsgard has taken to Instagram to thank medical staff in Lachute for saving his life.
The actor posted an image of a cut hand that suggests that his injuries were not actually life threatening. But if he wants to credit Quebec with feats of medicine, who are we to argue?
He specifically thanked “nurse Rosalie and doctor Taleb” in his Instagram post.

Class action authorized for ex-students claiming sexual abuse at Granby school
A judge has authorized a class-action lawsuit to go ahead against Granby’s Collège Mont-Sacré-Coeur on behalf of former students who say they were sexually abused there.
Robert Kugler, of the law firm Kugler, Kandestin, is leading the case, and said more than 70 people have come forward with abuse complaints over the years. The span of class action covers the time frame from 1932, when the school was founded, until 2008, when the order of Les Frères du S -

Review: Vic and Flo’s cinematic magic barely served in stage version
The decision to create a piece of theatre out of a film of such enigmatic eccentricity and understated visual panache as Denis Côté’s Vic and Flo Saw a Bear is certainly a bold one.
So let’s start by acknowledging the intrepidity of Michael Mackenzie, who directs his own adaptation, and of Talisman Theatre, whose mandate it is to present Québecois francophone texts in English, for embarking on this particular bear hunt.
There were always going to be traps ahead. U -
Canadiens Notebook: Carey Price will be back in goal Saturday night
Carey Price will be back in goal for the Canadiens Saturday night at the Bell Centre when they face the Buffalo Sabres (7 p.m., SN, TVA Sports, TSN Radio 690).
Price has missed the last 10 games with what the team called a “minor” lower-body injury suffered during the pre-game warmup on Nov. 2 in Minnesota. Price still played in that game, allowing five goals on 26 shots in a 6-3 loss to the Wild with the final goal into an empty net.
Price had been struggling before the injury and h -
Buchignani: Lance Stroll takes stock as F1 season closes
So we’ve learned something about Lance Stroll, the Formula One rookie from Montreal: modesty, it seems, is not his strong suit.
Which is not necessarily a bad thing. If you’re going to claim your place among the world’s top race-car drivers, you probably need to show a little swagger.
So maybe it’s not surprising that when he was asked to rate, on a scale from one to 10, his performance during his freshman F1 season — which closes in Abu Dhabi on Sunday — Stro -

Don Macpherson: Quebec voters just won't stay bought
“An honest politician,” a notoriously corrupt 19th-century American politician named Simon Cameron is supposed to have said, “is one who, when he is bought, stays bought.”
Nobody has ever applied that standard to voters, however. And politically, that’s the trouble for the Couillard government with its billion-dollar bid to buy votes legally with public funds in this week’s budget update: history suggests that when a Quebec government gives voters a bribe with -
