Jorn Reissner's album was a long time coming
Sitting on the terrace of the Olimpico café on St-Viateur St. recently, Jorn Reissner was telling me he doesn’t like to dwell on the passage of time — and many of us can relate to the sentiment.
But there’s no avoiding mentioning that Reissner only got around to going into a studio and properly recording an album almost 50 years after he began playing on the blues scene here. The result, Portrait in Blue, came out this year, under the name J. Reissner. He has previously -

From cop to politician to suspect: Who is Guy Ouellette?
It’s entirely possible that Guy Ouellette was the best known sergeant in the history of the Sûreté du Québec.
His notoriety was based on his expertise on the treacherous world of criminal biker gangs, an expertise that would see his testimony used in several landmark court cases against the gangs, allow him to co-found the Wolverine squad — Quebec’s reaction to the increasingly bloody gang war that wracked the province for almost a decade — and, in one -
