Where have you gone my Canadiens? The Habs nation turns its weary eyes to you
A long-suffering Habs fan column
I had the sinking feeling that the Montreal Canadiens’ incredible early runs in the last two seasons would not be repeated. Unfortunately for le bleu-blanc-rouge, I was right.
At this point in 2015, the Habs were 8-0-0. In 2016, 7-0-1. This year, 1-6-1.
The Canadiens were never going to be as good as those early win streaks in 2015 and 2016, but the flaws of this middle-of-the-road team have been exposed.
