Tanker truck collision on Highway 15 in Laval injures 3, causes gas spill
A collision involving a tanker truck on Sunday morning on highway 15 in Laval has left three people injured, according to the Sûreté du Québec.
SQ spokesperson Hélène Nepton said the accident occurred at 7:45 a.m. and one person was seriously injured, although that person is expected to survive.
The accident caused a gas spill and Urgence-Environnement was deployed for cleanup.
The highway was closed for the early part of the day, but a detour was provided -

Pincourt’s Yvan Cardinal, Claude Pilon of Vaudreuil-sur-le-Lac, Michel Bourdeau of Terrasse-Vaudreuil and Danie Deschêsnes of Notre-Dame-de-l’Île-Perrot were all elected by acclamation.
The nomination period for the Nov. 5 municipal elections ended Friday.
Cardinal has been mayor of Pincourt since 2009.
Deschêsnes was first elected mayor of Notre-Dame in a by-election in 2014.

The Vaudreuil-Soulanges MRC announced it was “pleased” to learn that the Energy East pipeline project by TransCanada has been abandoned.
