TVA says commentator Luc Lavoie will not return to the network until the Sûreté du Québec looks into complaints about his desire to “hunt separatists.”
The Parti Québécois has denounced the comment, which also caused an uproar on social media, with some calling for a boycott of TVA and Videotron, a sister company that provides cable and Internet service.

QUEBEC – Left holding the bag on the costs of implementing the policy, Quebec says it wants more than 50 per cent of potential cannabis excise tax revenues.

A plaza named after Nadia Comaneci, the Romanian gymnast and runaway star of Montreal’s 1976 Olympic Games, was inaugurated at the Olympic Park on Wednesday.

Less than half of sexual assault cases reported to police have actually been brought before the justice system, an analysis made public Tuesday by Statistics Canada suggests.
A six-year study spanning 2009-2014 found that criminal charges were filed in only 41 per cent of sexual assault complaints made to Canadian police forces.
