Redblacks 29, Alouettes 11: Coaching shakeup changes little for declining Als
Before the Alouettes’ dynamic offence even got on the field Sunday afternoon, they already trailed by eight points.
And things seemingly went downhill from there. So much for last Wednesday’s front-office purge that saw both head coach Jacques Chapdelaine and defensive co-ordinator Noel Thorpe fired.
The Ottawa Redblacks took the opening possession and engineered a 15-play, 85-yard drive to open the scoring — yes, an unheard-of 15-play drive in the Canadian Football League.
