A man in his twenties remained in critical condition Saturday afternoon with head injuries suffered in a car surfing accident in the early hours of Saturday morning.
Police spokesperson Daniel Lacoursière said the man was on the roof of a vehicle when the driver made a maneuver that caused him to fall to the ground,.
The incident occurred around 1:45 a.m. in a parking lot near Smith House on Mount Royal.

Two men are in critical condition in hospital after a serious accident on Route 309 near Mont-Laurier, in the Laurentians.
The Sûreté du Québec (SQ) received a call shortly after 6 a.m. Saturday after a car hit an electrical pole on the regional highway, known as Chemin de la Lièvre Sud.
Investigators with the SQ were sent to the scene, where traces of skidding were visible.

Funeral held for singer-painter Tex Lecor
The funeral of Tex Lecor, a singer-songwriter, painter and personality on radio and TV, will be held Saturday at 1:30 p.m. in St-Louis-de-France in Terrebonne.
Lecor, 84, died Sept. 9 of complications from pneumonia.
He was born Paul Lecorre, the eldest of three children, on June 10, 1933 in St-Michel de Wentworth, in the Laurentians.
Lecor is survived by his wife, Loulou, three of his four children, and five grandchildren.
One of his hits was an adaptation of Kenny Rogers’ Lucille. -

One man hospitalized after downtown Montreal stabbing
A 20-year-old man was stabbed in downtown Montreal Saturday morning following what police have described as an attempted robbery.
The incident took place around 3 a.m. near the intersection of Lambert Closse and Tupper streets.
Police spokesperson Daniel Lacoursière said the suspect allegedly tried to steal a jewel from the victim, at which point an altercation occurred and the victim was stabbed.
The victim was transported to the hospital with injuries that are reportedly not life -

Man suffers head injuries in Mount Royal car surfing accident
A man in his twenties has been hospitalized with head injuries suffered in a car surfing accident in the early hours of Saturday morning.
Police spokesperson Daniel Lacoursière said the man was on the roof of a vehicle when the driver made a maneuver that caused him to fall to the ground,.
The incident occurred around 1:45 a.m. in a parking lot near Smith House on Mount Royal.
The man was hospitalized. His condition is not yet known.
