A vehicle caught fire on Highway 25-S on Montreal’s south shore Saturday afternoon, according to the Sûreté du Québec.
The SQ said they were notified about the incident on Charron Island around 2:30 p.m. The reason for the fire is still unknown. The driver was transported to a hospital for minor injuries.

Thieves break into Bay store in Carrefour Laval
Laval police are looking for thieves who broke into The Bay store in Carrefour Laval store overnight.
Police were alerted by a call to 911 at 3:30 a.m. on Saturday.
Lieutenant Genevieve Villemure told La Presse canadienne that investigators are seeking several suspects who reportedly fled in a cube truck.
Police erected a large security perimeter around the crime scene. A forensic team was expected later Saturday to gather evidence.
Police refused to give further details.
