For the second consecutive month, housing prices in Montreal reached their highest level on record in July, according to the Teranet-National Bank House Price Index.

Montreal police search for potential victims of teacher charged with luring children
Montreal police are searching for potential victims of Francis Faille, a teacher who was charged with luring and providing sexually explicit material to children.
Faille taught geography at École Édouard-Montpetit during the last academic year. He was arrested on Wednesday and was released Friday on the condition that he does not access the Internet or be in the presence of anyone under 16 years old.

Laval police seek information about break and enter suspect
The Laval police department is asking for anyone with information about a serial break and enter suspect to come forward.
On Aug. 8, police arrested Michel Métivier for breaking and entering, falsely presenting himself as a peace officer and driving a vehicle in an attempt to flee.

25-year-old dies following ATV accident near Shawinigan
A 25-year-old man has died after an all-terrain vehicle accident in St-Mathieu-du-Parc, near Shawinigan.
The driver, who was out with other ATV enthusiasts on Sunday afternoon, reportedly lost control of his ride in a curve and hit a tree.

Montreal police looking for missing Verdun man
Montreal police are looking for Shawn Larocque-Odorcic, who was last seen at midnight at his Verdun home, near the intersection of Osborne St. and LaSalle Blvd.
The 26-year-old’s family is concerned for his safety, police said.
He is described at being 5-foot-7, blond hair and blue eyes. He has a scar on the upper portion or his right arm.
