Environment Canada has upgraded the severe thunderstorm watch for Montreal and surrounding areas to a warning.
At 2:44 p.m., the agency said Montreal, Laval, Châteauguay and Longueuil were affected by the watch.
At 4:22 p.m., the warning was issued for most of those same areas. Châteauguay was no longer included.

Update: St-Denis St. re-opened to traffic after gas leak
Montreal police announced early Tuesday afternoon that St-Denis St. has bee re-opened to traffic after a gas leak at the corner of St-Denis and Bellechasse Sts. forced its closure at a little after 8:30 a.m.
The police department announced the re-opening at a little after 12:30 p.m. via Twitter.
The break, reportedly caused by construction in the area, forced the shutdown of St-Denis St. in both directions between Bellechasse and Beaubien Sts.

Montreal Mayor Denis Coderre is celebrating last weekend’s inaugural ePrix on Monday, calling the event a “mission accomplished.”
