If he were to abide by a request from the Office québécois de la langue française, Peter Bahlawanian says it might force him to close up shop in Montreal.

A dispute Wednesday night between a Sherbrooke bus driver and a passenger over an uncaged cat has ended with the driver in hospital and the commuter with a court date Thursday to face an assault charge.

The Quebec-based car parts and accessories distributor Uni-Sélect (TSX:UNS) posted a net profit of $13.7 million, or 33 cents per share, in the second quarter on Wednesday.

A man alleged to be a leader among the Hells Angels in Quebec has seen a gangsterism charge filed against him in a lengthy drug trafficking investigation dropped following a legal challenge.
