Hall of Famer Tim Raines really grew up in Montreal
Tim Raines was born and raised in Sanford, Fla., but he really grew up in Montreal — both on and off the baseball diamond.
Raines was only 19 when he was first called up by the Expos after being selected in the fifth round of the 1977 amateur draft. Football was Raines’s first love and he was a star running back at Seminole High School, nicknamed “Little Juice” after O.J. Simpson, who was starring with the NFL’s Buffalo Bills at the time.

Ten years later, Cédrika's grandfather hopes the culprit will be found
By Stephanie Marin
It has been a decade since his granddaughter’s disappearance and eventual slaying, but the wounds are still fresh for Henri Provencher.
Cédrika Provencher, a nine-year-old freckle-faced redhead from Trois-Rivières, vanished from near her home on July 31, 2007.
For more than eight years, the young girl’s face was plastered on posters across the province. There were rumours and claims of sightings, a massive manhunt and heartfelt appeals for information -

Opinion: CAQ flirtation with Quebec anglos not likely to be consummated
Quebec’s English-speaking community has always felt uncomfortable about flirting outside of its long-standing relationship with the Quebec Liberal Party. Despite feelings of alienation or being taken for granted by the Liberals, we will very rarely stray.
Sensing our latest feelings of disaffection, emboldened by the perception that Health Minister Gaétan Barrette is picking on the MUHC and our health-care infrastructure, the Coalition Avenir Québec (CAQ) has been winking at -
CMHC says Montreal's housing market isn't problematic — yet
Montreal’s housing market is showing few signs of “problematic conditions,” according to the Canadian Mortgage and Housing Corporation, but several trends are moving in that direction.

Opinion: My dance with Parkinson's disease
While I was still a singer, doing Hank Williams songs, not half badly, at the Wheel Club on Cavendish, I should have known something was wrong because the MC always complained about my not smiling, and when I tried, I couldn’t.
