Montreal police ask for public's help finding hit-and-run suspect
Montreal police are looking for a vehicle and witnesses connected to a hit-and-run that took place around 2 a.m. on Saturday.
The vehicle, a small, dark sedan, fled north on St-Laurent Blvd.
An unconscious man was found at the corner of St-Laurent Blvd. and de Maisonneuve Blvd. on Saturday morning. When police arrived at the scene, they reportedly noticed significant head injuries. The 30-year-old victim from Florida is in hospital in critical condition.

Quebec investing $2.8M to restore religious buildings in Montreal
In order to ensure the preservation and enhancement of Montreal’s religious heritage, the Quebec government is investing $2,763,316 in the restoration of 12 religious buildings, an organ and frescoes in the city.

Montreal is preparing to receive a large influx of tourists this summer, in part due to the 375th anniversary celebrations.
Already, the Formula One Grand Prix brought in a huge number of tourists, although the data has not yet been compiled. Occupancy rate at downtown hotels reached almost 90 per cent.

The CAA-Québec Foundation is warning the public that the 75 deadliest days of the year in the province have begun.
If previous years are indicators of the future, about 100 Quebecers will lose their lives in road accidents between St-Jean-Baptiste Day and Labour Day. About 20 of them will be between the ages of 16 and 24.

A collision between two vehicles caused at least one serious injury overnight Saturday near Ste-Agathe-des-Monts, in the Laurentians.
Around 2 a.m., a motorist drove the wrong way on Route 117 in Ivry-sur-le-Lac, colliding head-on with another vehicle.
The vehicle struck a car with a man and a woman inside, who suffered serious injuries.

Free BIXI bicycles today and every last Sunday of the month
Montrealers and tourists can use BIXI bicycles for free on Sunday.
Like last year, all one-way trips shorter than 30 minutes will be free of charge on every last Sunday of the month until October.
There are 540 BIXI stations, and 6,250 bicycles.
BIXI recently had the busiest day in its history. On May 28, a record 39,520 trips were made.

A 28-year-old man was seriously wounded in a police chase on Saturday night in Sainte-Catherine, west of Montreal.
His life is not in danger despite his injuries.

A collision between two vehicles caused at least one seriously injury overnight between Sunday and Saturday in Ste-Agathe-des-Monts, in the Laurentians.
