Fatal traffic incident in northeast Calgary
A person is dead in the aftermath of a traffic incident in Calgary's northeast on Friday evening. The incident occurred at 36th Street and 12th Avenue N.E., shortly after 7:30 p.m. Multiple lanes of traffic in the southbound lanes were blocked, and a CTrain could be seen stopped at the scene as well. An investigation is underway after a single-vehicle collision that took place east of Canmore late Friday afternoon. At 3:47 p.m., Canmore RCMP received reports of a rollover and possible ejection of the lone passenger at the eastbound ramp of Lac Des Arc.
