'We’ll play in snow, we’re Canadian right?': Albertans make the most of a wet, snowy May long
Many Albertans looking to spend their Victoria Day weekend outdoors aren’t letting forecasts of rain or snow dampen their spirits. A mix of rain and light snow fell in Calgary much of Thursday but that didn’t stop Jaden Crozier and Christopher Radmacher from hitting the links. “We’ll play in snow, we’re Canadian right?” asked Crozier. Although the pair who played at Maple Ridge Golf Course admit it wasn’t easy. “It’s cold so your fingers are -

Gagan Gill has been waiting nearly a year to hire contractors to repair $80,000 worth of damage to his Skyview Ranch home caused by last June’s historic hailstorm. Gill said his insurance deductible was $3,000. That meant the settlement payout should have been for $77,275 but the final cheque ended up being reduced by $12,246 to $65,029. “It seems they’re trying to nickel and dime everyone,” said Gill. “This should be the time where they step up and say, ‘Hey, -

When will we no longer be in a pandemic?
As Canada's COVID-19 cases curve downward while vaccination rates rise, the end of the pandemic might seem near, at least when it comes to the virus’s worst outcomes and lockdowns that seem endless. But when can a pandemic be declared ‘over’ from a global standpoint? Experts says equitable global access to vaccines is needed, among other safety practices, for normal life to resume. After entering a third wave in late March, Canada is now seeing a steady decline in cases. With v -
