Canadian airlines waiting for guidance from Ottawa over X gender option
Canada's largest airlines are awaiting details from the federal government before they follow their U.S. counterparts in allowing travellers to choose gender designations outside the traditional "male" and "female" check-in categories. Major U.S. airlines said last week they will change their ticketing process so that passengers can identify themselves along non-binary lines, representing a victory for advocates of transgender recognition. That change comes after a pair of major trade groups -- -

OTTAWA -- The majority of Canadians think that Facebook will negatively impact the next federal election, and that the social media giant doesn't do a good job at monitoring how it is used to influence politics, according to a Nanos Research survey. Six in 10 Canadians surveyed said they are expecting Facebook to have a negative or somewhat negative impact on the next federal election, scheduled for Oct. 21. Twenty five per cent said they think Facebook will have a negative impact and 36 per cen -

A playful pup born with just two legs and rescued from the streets of Iran has been taken in by Canadian carers who hope to give her a normal life with the help of prosthetics. One-year-old Roo, who hops like a kangaroo, hence her name, also sits like a person as her two front legs never fully formed.
