  A Kingston contractor has been arrested and charged after defrauding multiple families. According to Kingston Police, an investigation began in November after several parties came forward with complaints. Through the course of the investigation, police said they determined that a single person listed as the owner and operator or The Oakwood Group Inc. knowingly made false representations to multiple families to induce payments for material, permits and labour that collectively exceeded $586,000.
