• Sudbury man charged in Sault kidnapping case

  Two men are accused of kidnapping a teenager in Sault Ste. MariePolice detained the pair at the International Bridge in the Sault last Saturday. They allegedly picked up a 15-year-old youth earlier in the day and would not let the victim leave the vehicle.“Neither accused is well known to the victim,” police say.Sahan Alam, 40, of Sault Ste. Marie, and Hasan Al-Mamum, 40, of Sudbury, were charged with kidnapping.They were held in custody pending a bail hearing.
