  The next generation of law enforcement and civic leaders were out helping the community on Wednesday.Members of the Cornwall Police Service’s Youth in Policing Initiative (YIPI) held a food drive outside Baxtrom’s Your Independent Grocer, raising non-perishable goods and cash donations for Centre 105.Each year, YIPI students select a non-profit to support and organize a fundraising day to draw in community support. • Third youth charged in Cornwall bear-spray attacks

  A 12-year-old boy is facing 15 charges as part of a police investigation into people being attacked with bear spray in Cornwall.Police responded to a weapons call Monday, and alleged three youths had sprayed someone they know in the eyes with bear spray, then attacked four other people in other locations throughout the city. Three youths were arrested Monday , two of whom were charged and a third unconditionally released. The 12-year-old was taken into custody at police headquarters on Tuesday.
