NEW WESTMINSTER — The B.C. Labour Relations Board says online retail giant Amazon violated the province's labour code by giving workers at most of its facilities scheduled pay increases, but leaving out unionized warehouse employees in Delta, B.C.

Over 1,700 lose power in Chilliwack Thursday morning
CHILLIWACK — Over 1,700 residential customers in Promontory have lost power Thursday morning, and the reason isn’t immediately clear.
According to its online dashboard, BC Hydro says 1,704 customers lost power at 10:23 a.m. Thursday morning.
The impacted areas include south of Uplands Drive, east of Morton Road, west of Sylvan Drive, and north of Chilliwack Lake
Crews are expected to arrive by 11:30 a.m.

VICTORIA — British Columbia Health Minister Josie Osborne says the province is spending $50 million to expand availability of anti-overdose nasal naloxone across the province.

WASHINGTON — The U.S. International Trade Commission has launched an investigation into rules-of-origin regulations for automobiles under the Canada-U.S.-Mexico agreement on trade.

WINNIPEG — Drew Wolitarsky retired Thursday as a member of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers.
The veteran receiver signed a one-year deal with Winnipeg, allowing him to call it a career with the franchise.
Wolitarsky, 30, spent seven of his eight CFL seasons with Winnipeg (2017-19, 2021-24). He was with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats last year, suiting up for two games.
Wolitarsky won two Grey Cups with Winnipeg (2019, 2021). He recorded 227 catches for 2,954 yards and 18 touchdowns in 96 regular-season -
B.C. health workers breached privacy of injured victims of Vancouver festival attack
VICTORIA — British Columbia's privacy commissioner has found 16 people who were sent to medical facilities after the deadly vehicle-ramming attack at the Lapu Lapu Day festival in Vancouver last year had their privacy breached by health workers.

Impairment not suspected in Wednesday night rollover on Chilliwack River Road
UPDATE, 8:35 A.M. THURSDAY: Chilliwack RCMP spokesperson Corporal Carmen Kiener says police were called to a reported single-vehicle rollover at 8:20 p.m. She says the driver and lone occupant did not suffer any injuries and alcohol was not a factor.
No criminal offence was committed, and the driver was issued a ticket under the Motor Vehicle Act, Cpl. Kiener says.
