CHILLIWACK — Some Chilliwack residents were woken by sirens this morning (Dec. 20) as multiple police cars headed toward a neighbourhood near Airport Road.

Ridge Meadows RCMP seek electronic bike stolen from child with special needs
MAPLE RIDGE — Police in Maple Ridge are on the lookout for a child’s mobility bike stolen Friday afternoon (Dec. 19).
At around 1:30 p.m., a resident flagged down RCMP frontline officers outside a store in the 11800 block of 224 Street after the electronic bike was taken off a bike rack.
Police then learned that the bike had been stolen in the northwest corner outside the store only 30 minutes earlier.

MONTREAL — Phillip Danault is heading back to Montreal.
The Montreal Canadiens acquired the veteran centre from the Los Angeles Kings in exchange for a 2026 second-round draft pick on Friday. The draft selection previously belonged to the Columbus Blue Jackets.

OTTAWA — Five food products ranging from salads to noodle bowls distributed across Western Canada have been recalled due to possible listeria contamination.
