OTTAWA — The Canadian Union of Postal Workers says its members will hold a ratification vote on tentative agreements with Canada Post between April 20 and May 30.The deals with two bargaining units were reached in late December, after nearly two years of labour strife.Workers were out on the picket line multiple times as the negotiations dragged on, with the two sides at odds over pay and structural changes to the postal service.

OTTAWA — Newly minted Olympic bronze medallist ice dancers Piper Gilles and Paul Poirier will be part of the Canadian contingent at the figure skating world championships in March.

Kendamil baby formula sold at Costco recalled due to concerns about toxin
TORONTO — The Canadian Food Inspection Agency says a baby formula sold online and at Costco is being recalled due to concerns of a toxin that can cause food poisoning.
The federal agency says the one-kilogram containers of Kendamil brand infant formula that say "with whole milk" on the label may contain cereulide toxin, which can quickly cause nausea and vomiting.
Cereulide is not destroyed by heat and can survive temperatures that would usually kill bacteria.

MONTREAL —A fire has destroyed a historic former church in southwestern Montreal and the flames spread to an adjacent seniors home.
