    SAINT CATHARINES — Ryerson Edgar scored three goals and added an assist in leading the Niagara IceDogs to a 5-1 win over the visiting Sudbury Wolves in Ontario Hockey League action on Sunday at the Meridian Centre.
    Cole Cooksey and Sean Doherty also scored for the IceDogs, who outshot the visitors 37-32 and led 1-0 after the first period and 3-0 heading into the third.
    Chase Coughlan scored for the Wolves, who went 1-for-5 on the power play. The IceDogs went 2-for-7 with the man advantage.

    OTTAWA — The Toronto Maple Leafs jumped out to a 3-0 first-period lead and held on for a 4-3 victory against the Ottawa Senators on Sunday in NHL pre-season action at Canadian Tire Centre.
