OTTAWA — Mark Carney will be sworn in as Canada’s 24th prime minister at a ceremony at Rideau Hall Friday after the formal resignation of Justin Trudeau.
A senior Liberal source says a new cabinet will also be sworn in.

ABBOTSFORD/MATSQUI FIRST NATION — Abbotsford Police Department officers have converged in Matsqui First Nation Wednesday around noon after a vehicle collision to a property.
According to a social media post, Abbotsford police say the driver of a suspect vehicle fled on foot, resulting in an active police dog track to the west of the scene.
AbbyPD says an Air 1 helicopter is also assisting in the search. Officers are canvassing along the rail line near Burgess Avenue.
