HOPE — Hundreds of residents have signed on to a plea that would stop Cemetery Gravel Pit from growing, citing environmental risks, district tourism efforts and health concerns to people living nearby.In 2023, Hope Ready Mix submitted an application to expand the pit off Kettle Valley and Othello Road to roughly 33 hectares—more than three times its current size. WINNIPEG — The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have signed quarterback Chris Streveler to a one-year contract, the CFL club announced Saturday.

UFC returns to Montreal after 10-year absence, schedules UFC 315 for May 10
MONTREAL — The UFC is returning to Montreal after a 10-year absence.
The mixed martial arts promotion says the Bell Centre will host UFC 315 on May 10. It will mark the UFC’s eighth show in Montreal and 35th overall in Canada, spread among 11 cities.
No fights have been announced for the pay-per-view card yet.
