TORONTO — The reigning Grey Cup champion Toronto Argonauts have signed American defensive lineman Da’Marcus Johnson.
The six-foot-four, 255-pound lineman from Sacramento, Calif., recorded 52 tackles, 5.5 sacks and two forced fumbles in 11 games for the University of Eastern Washington in 2023.
Johnson had nine tackles and a sack in 20 games for the Fresno State Bulldogs in 2021-22.
He began his collegiate career at American River College.

VICTORIA — The first baby born in B.C. in 2025 came into the world just two minutes into the new year in Kamloops.According to government officials, a 7 lbs 10 oz baby was born at 12:02 a.m. at Royal Inland Hospital.

TORONTO — From crazy to a good cry, veteran defender Jocelyne Larocque went through all the emotions in her first game with the Ottawa Charge.

Missing hiker with arrest warrant found after friends delay police report, says RCMP
PORT ALBERNI, B.C. — Mounties in British Columbia are asking the public to be honest after a missing hiker’s friends delayed reporting her disappearance to police.
Port Alberni RCMP say they received a report for the missing hiker on Monday morning after she disappeared at around 2:30 p.m. the previous day.
