PRINCE GEORGE — The BC Craft Farmers Co-Op (BCCFC) wants the federal government to reconsider its new GST policy that does not include cannabis among the list of exempt items.
It says its disappointed that the “more harmful alcohol products” were included in Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s so-called GST holiday, which also covers groceries, restaurant meals, children’s clothing and toys, print newspapers and Christmas trees.

TEL AVIV, Israel (AP) — Israel said Sunday that the body of of an Israeli-Moldovan rabbi who went missing in the United Arab Emirates has been found after he was killed in what the government described as a “heinous antisemitic terror incident.”

PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Matvei Michkov scored a power-play goal in overtime as the Flyers overcame a two-goal deficit in the third period to beat the Chicago Blackhawks 3-2 on Saturday.

OTTAWA — The Vancouver Canucks kicked off a six-game road trip by holding off the Ottawa Senators 4-3.
The Senators surged late with a pair of goals in the final three and a half minutes, but lost their fifth straight.

CORRALES, N.M. (AP) — Fred Harris, a former U.S. senator from Oklahoma, presidential hopeful and populist who championed Democratic Party reforms in the turbulent 1960s, died Saturday. He was 94.

Bear killed after attacking man walking on Metro Vancouver trail with dog
MAPLE RIDGE, B.C. — British Columbia conservation officers say a man was injured earlier this week when he was attacked by a black bear while he was walking his dog on a Metro Vancouver trail.
The Conservation Officer Service says in a Facebook post that the incident happened on Wednesday at around 2:30 p.m., when the bear engaged the off-leash dog on a trail near 240th Street in Maple Ridge, B.C.

MISSION – Officials with the City of Mission are set to kick off the holiday season with the “Lighting of the Trees” at Centennial Park on Friday.
