TORONTO — Vince Carter spoke about family, legacy, anger, and ultimately, love in an emotional news conference ahead of his jersey being retired by the Toronto Raptors.
Carter will become the first player in Raptors history to be so honoured.
His iconic No. 15 will be hung in the rafters of Scotiabank Arena in a 20-minute ceremony during the intermission of Toronto’s game with the Sacramento Kings tonight.

Pedestrian suffers serious injuries after hit by pickup in Surrey: RCMP
SURREY – A pedestrian was rushed to the hospital in critical condition after being hit by a pickup truck Friday night in Surrey, RCMP say.
Investigators believe the vehicle was making a left turn from 144th Street onto 88th Avenue just before 8 p.m. when the person was struck in the intersection.
The driver of the truck remained at the scene and is cooperating with police.
