Road construction to fully close McCallum Road in Agassiz for one day
AGASSIZ – Crews will fully shut down McCallum Road on Tuesday during a two-day construction initiative.
District of Kent’s Public Works team said initial work will begin between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Monday with a full road closure during the same time frame on Oct. 22.

LANGLEY – Police have closed a roadway in Langley due to concerns that a sinkhole may be forming beneath the pavement.
RCMP say the slump, seen early Saturday morning on 40th avenue between 216 and 212 Streets, is tied to a deluge of inclement weather in Southern B.C.
“Heavy rainfall within the past 24 hours has compromised the stability of the roadway on 40th Avenue,” Langley RCMP Cpl. Zynal Sharoom said in a statement.

MISSION – A 17-year-old is facing two charges following a crash last Sunday night in Mission that sent a driver to the hospital.

MAPLE RIDGE – Crews have closed a portion of Highway 7 (Lougheed Highway) near 287 Street in Maple Ridge due to flooding.

HAMILTON — Bo Levi Mitchell threw five touchdown passes to lead the Hamilton Tiger-Cats past the Calgary Stampeders 42-20 on Friday night.

Groundwater at Eagle Gold mine in Yukon shows high cyanide levels
The Yukon government says groundwater samples at the site where a mine’s ore containment facility failed in June “continue to reveal high levels of cyanide.”

Southbound lane on Yale Road to close for completion of multi-use path in Chilliwack
CHILLIWACK — A portion of the southbound lane of Yale Road between Parr and Airport Roads in Chilliwack will be closed to traffic starting Monday to complete the construction of a multi-use pathway.
