CHILLIWACK — Two of the largest cities in the Fraser Valley are warning residents of the potential damage that could be caused by the release of water trapped by a landslide along the Chilcotin River in the B.C. Interior.
In social media posts over the last day, Chilliwack and Abbotsford are altering residents to the issuance of a high streamflow advisory along the Fraser River from the BC River Forecast Centre.

BEAUHARNOIS, Que. — A four-year-old boy drowned Thursday night in a residential pool southwest of Montreal.

Vancouver’s July home sales slid 5% from last year, listings up 20%
VANCOUVER — Greater Vancouver Realtors says last month’s home sales in the region dropped five per cent from a year ago, even as the number of new listings jumped 20 per cent.

LAUSANNE — The Court of Arbitration for Sport has dismissed a Canadian appeal of the International Skating Union’s decision to award the bronze medal in the team figure skating event from the 2022 Beijing Olympics to Russia.
