TORONTO — Daulton Varsho and Vladimir Guerrero Jr. homered to help the Toronto Blue Jays to a 7-3 win and sweep of the defending World Series-champion Texas Rangers on Sunday.
Varsho’s two-run blast, his 13th, landed in the Rangers bullpen in a three-run first inning, while Guerrero knocked out his team-leading 19th to right field as part of a three-run third.

Slocan region in interior B.C. evacuated due to multiple wildfires
A small town in the B.C. interior has been evacuated due to wildfires raging nearby.
The Regional District of Central Kootenay issued a statement Saturday night issued an evacuation order for the village of Slocan.
The evacuation order also applies to over 400 properties in the areas around the village, a community about 370 kilometres east of Kelowna.

TORONTO — The Toronto Blue Jays traded catcher Danny Jansen to the Boston Red Sox for three prospects on Saturday.
