TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) — The Florida Supreme Court on Monday paved the way for a ban on abortions after six weeks of pregnancy, before many women know they are pregnant, while also giving voters a chance to remove restrictions in November and restore abortion rights in most cases.

BC Hydro customers set to receive electricity affordability credit
VANCOUVER — The province says BC Hydro’s residential customers will begin seeing an affordability credit applied to their bills this month.
The B.C. Ministry of Energy said in a statement that the provincial electricity affordability credit will provide an average customer $100 in annual savings.
The credits are automatically calculated and applied to each monthly bill, with the first arriving on bills after April 15.

Burnaby refinery resumes operations
BURNABY — The company that owns the Burnaby refinery that has been shut down since January says the plant has returned to normal operations.
Parkland Corp. says the refinery restarted operations on March 29 after an unplanned shutdown on January 12 due to extreme cold weather.
The January shutdown came after an issue at the refinery lead to an acrid odour blanketing parts of Metro Vancouver, although officials say contaminant levels did not breach pollution standards.

Ballard shares up after signing largest order ever with European bus maker Solaris
VANCOUVER — Shares of Ballard Power Systems were up more than 10 per cent after it announced a long-term supply agreement with European bus manufacturer Solaris Bus & Coach that it called its largest order ever for fuel cell engines.

Surrey hit-and-runs send two to hospital
SURREY — Two people were injured in separate hit-and-run crashes early Sunday in Surrey.
Police say the first crash involved a Dodge Challenger and a Tesla and the occupants of the Challenger fled the scene on foot.The driver of the Tesla was transported to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
