ATHENS, Ga. (AP) — Police say they’ve taken a suspect into custody in after the killing of a nursing student whose body was found on the University of Georgia campus in Athens.
University of Georgia Police said Friday that they’ve arrested an unnamed suspect in the death of 22-year-old Laken Hope Riley. The body of the student at the Augusta University College of Nursing’s Athens campus was found near running trails Thursday after she didn’t return from a run.

CHILLIWACK — The City of Chilliwack is advising the public of a series of road closures in the area to allow work crews to conduct maintenance work at CN Rail crossings.

CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) — Three members of the University of Wyoming swimming and diving team were killed in a highway crash in northern Colorado.
The crash happened Thursday afternoon on U.S. 287 about 10 miles (16 kilometers) south of the Wyoming-Colorado line between Laramie and Fort Collins, Colo.

MONTREAL — Jean-Guy Talbot, one of the 12 Montreal Canadiens players to win five consecutive Stanley Cups between 1956 and 1960, has died. He was 91 years old.
The Canadiens announced Talbot’s death Friday morning after multiple media outlets reported the news. A cause of death was not given.
Born in Cap-de-la-Madeleine, Que., on July 11, 1932, Talbot played 17 NHL seasons with five teams between 1954 and 1971.
