WINNIPEG — Backup quarterback Dakota Prukop ran in a two-yard touchdown with 3:31 left in the fourth quarter to help lift the Winnipeg Blue Bombers to a 31-21 come-from-behind victory over the Toronto Argonauts on Friday.
Bombers kicker Sergio Castillo added his fifth and six field goals of the game after Prukop’s go-ahead score to seal the win.

RCMP release details of regimental funeral for Constable Rick O’Brien in Langley
LANGLEY — The B.C. RCMP has released details around the regimental funeral for Constable Frederick “Rick” O’Brien. The funeral will be held Wednesday, October 4 at 2 p.m. at the Langley Events Centre in Langley.
The regimental funeral will include a procession, and a memorial service concluding with a final salute for Cst. O’Brien.

TORONTO — The Toronto Blue Jays moved closer to securing a playoff berth Friday night with an 11-4 victory over the Tampa Bay Rays at Rogers Centre.

MONTREAL — Rookie Matthew Knies scored a short-handed game-winning goal as the Toronto Maple Leafs defeated the Montreal Canadiens 2-1 in NHL pre-season action Friday night.
Defenceman Mikko Kokkonen also scored for Toronto (2-1-1). Forward Noah Gregor, who’s impressed so far in training camp on a professional tryout, pitched in with an assist.

Epic Games, maker of ‘Fortnite’ video game, begins $2.75M settlement payout
The maker of the popular video game “Fortnite” has begun compensating claims in a $2.75-million settlement to a Canadian class-action lawsuit over the inclusion of controversial “loot boxes.”
Epic Games says on its website that compensations began on Thursday and noted in legal documents that the settlement “is a compromise of disputed claims and is not an admission of liability, wrongdoing or fault” in the case.
