PONTEVEDRA, Spain — Winnipeg’s Tyler Mislawchuk achieved his best-ever Olympic distance triathlon result with an eighth-place finish at the World Triathlon Championship on Saturday.
The 28-year-old Mislawchuk finished the challenging 1.5-kilometre swim, 40-kilometre bike and 10-kilometre run in 1:43:09.

HARRISON, N.J. — Toronto FC’s game with New York City FC has been put back a day to Sunday due to a water main break to the pipeline that services Red Bull Arena.
News of the postponement came three hours 15 minutes before the scheduled 7:30 p.m. ET kickoff Saturday.
“As local authorities assess the damage, all water to the stadium has been shut down,” NYCFC said in a statement.
The game is now scheduled to start at 1 p.m. ET Sunday.

One RCMP officer shot dead, suspect and two officers hurt: B.C. police watchdog
COQUITLAM — British Columbia’s police watchdog says an RCMP officer has died and a suspect and two other officers have been injured while police were serving an arrest warrant in the Metro Vancouver suburb of Coquitlam.
