VANCOUVER — The Vancouver Whitecaps were able to overcome two disallowed goals on Saturday night before finally notching a winner in the 74th minute to beat the Portland Timbers 1-0 in Major League Soccer action.

VANCOUVER — Andrei Kuzmenko scored in the shootout and the Vancouver Canucks handed the Calgary Flames a devastating 3-2 loss on Saturday.
The result means Calgary (37-27-16) now sits one point behind the Winnipeg Jets for the final wild-card spot in the Western Conference. The Flames have two games left on their regular-season schedule while the Jets have three.

WINNIPEG — Connor Hellebuyck stopped 28 shots and lifted the Winnipeg Jets to a critical 2-0 triumph over the Nashville Predators on Saturday.
