ABBOTSFORD — Four people were taken to hospital following a Sunday afternoon fire in Abbotsford.
Abbotsford Fire Rescue Service were called out to the fire in the 2600 block of Tessaro Crescent. When crews arrived, they found the main floor of the building fully involved.
BC Emergency Services says six ambulances were sent to the fire at 1:41 p.m. Paramedics cared for and transported four people to hospital. However, the condition of the injured individuals has not been released.

TORONTO — The Toronto Maple Leafs have acquired defenceman Jake McCabe and forward Sam Lafferty in a trade with the Chicago Blackhawks.
The Maple Leafs also get conditional fifth-round draft picks in 2024 and 2025.

HAWARA, West Bank (AP) — Israeli medics say a man has been seriously wounded in a shooting on a West Bank highway.
The shooting on Monday comes a day after two Israelis were killed by a Palestinian gunman elsewhere in the West Bank, and Israeli settlers rampaged through a Palestinian village in revenge.

Alberta signs $24B, 10-year health-care funding deal with Ottawa
EDMONTON — Alberta has become the latest province to sign an agreement in principle with Ottawa on health-care funding.
The federal government says in a news release that more than $24 billion is to be invested in Alberta’s health-care system over the next 10 years.
