Gillian (The Savage) Robertson will join fellow Canadian Tanner (The Bulldozer) Boser in moving down a weight class to compete on a UFC Fight Night card April 15 in Kansas City.
The five-foot-five Robertson, whose previous 13 UFC fights were at flyweight (125 pounds), will take on unbeaten Venezuelan strawweight Piera (La Fiera) Rodriguez at 115 pounds.

Calgary Flames place defenceman Michael Stone on IR, recall Walker Duehr from AHL
CALGARY — The Calgary Flames have placed defenceman Michael Stone on injured reserve, the club announced Tuesday.
The 32-year-old has five goals and five assists in 46 games in 2022-23.
Stone, whose ailment wasn’t disclosed by the team, has 40 goals and 144 points in 550 regular season appearances split between Phoenix/Arizona and Calgary. The Winnipeg native has added six points (three goals, three assists) in 15 playoff contests.

B.C. adds $180 million to help communities prepare for natural disasters
VICTORIA — Local governments and First Nations in British Columbia are getting more support to prepare for the risk of natural disasters related to climate change.
