MONTREAL — The Montreal Alouettes signed veteran American receiver Greg Ellingson to a one-year contract Wednesday.
The CFL club also signed American defensive back Jumal Rolle, re-signed American running back Walter Fletcher and acquired Canadian offensive lineman Jesse Gibbon from the Edmonton Elks for a 2024 second-round pick.

OTTAWA — An audit commissioned by the federal government has found that Hockey Canada did not use public funds to settle sexual assault cases or pay for related legal fees.
Sport Minister Pascale St-Onge called for the audit in June after media reported that Hockey Canada had settled a $3.55 million sexual assault lawsuit. She requested the investigation to ensure that public funds had only been used to support amateur hockey.

RICHMOND, B.C. — Migratory birds have become a traffic hazard in Richmond, B.C., and RCMP are warning drivers to take precautions.Almost two dozen snow geese have been killed by vehicles in recent separate road instances.Police say 20 snow geese were found dead on a street on Monday and they appeared to have been driven over by a vehicle.
