CHILLIWACK — Chilliwack RCMP have received a report of a missing Chilliwack teenager who was last seen on Thursday evening, February 2.Jayden Stewart, 14 years old, is described as 5’7″ tall, 140 pounds, with dark hair. A pair of CFL all-stars have re-signed with their teams.
Wide receiver Kurleigh Gittens Jr. inked a three-year deal with the Toronto Argonauts on Friday and the Winnipeg Blue Bombers re-signed returner Janarion Grant to a one-year extension.
Gittens, a 25-year-old Canadian, caught 81 passes (fifth best in the CFL) for 1,101 yards (sixth best) and five touchdowns in 2022.
He led the league in yards after catch (483), en route to being named a CFL All-Star for the first time in his career.

OTTAWA — Canadian swimmer Marks Thormeyer has been banned from competition for 12 months following a doping violation.
However, because Thormeyer accepted a voluntary provisional suspension on Feb. 15, 2022, his period of ineligibility will end on Feb. 14.

OTTAWA — China’s ambassador to Canada has been called onto the carpet to explain a high-altitude surveillance balloon that is hovering over the U.S.
Global Affairs Canada says Ambassador Cong Peiwu was summoned on Thursday after the balloon was spotted over U.S. airspace.
The Department of National Defence says the balloon’s movements are being tracked by the North American Aerospace Defence Command.
